For starters look into a lot of team USA's player history and a lot of their prospects and stars have some Canadian heritage or background.

Secondly I'm not trying to be an *******

Never once did I mention that the US had caught Canada in hockey development, not once. Shows the level of insecurity you have about US hockey development right now. I answered a question about an 80th ranked player versus another.

Hey have a great Coaches Corner show on Saturday there Don

Oh and I thought that was an excellent game. Team USA play a very appealing brand of Hockey. As a guy who hasn't seen much collage hockey this season I was blown away by the skating of Hanifin. On our draft board last year I was hoping the Jets would pick Larkin at #9 and although I am really happy Ehlers was there I still wish we had both prospects. Detroit got a beauty :naughty:. I thought Reinhart was Canada's best player.

Good luck to the USA the rest of the way.

At the U18 Reinhart was paired with McDavid and that I thought was the tournament's best pair of forwards...I thought McDavid was the reason for this...but I'm beginning to think that Reinhart was the key to their success. Ultimately, McDavid will be the better player, but boy have I ever been wowed by our Sammy boy!!

Another great game. Sure impressed with Reinhart and Domi. Hope they meet agin before the end of the tournament. CAN-USA would make a great gold medal game. The quality of the hockey is really terrific. I enjoy this tournament more every year.

I'm sure you could piece it together. ;)

Anyone who claims the US has caught Canada in hockey should also be saying Canada has caught the US in basketball. Of course they won't say that, because a few top end guys doesn't mean anyone has been caught.

No way man.

Let's say our 80th best player is Matt McCarron of the London Knights. He is about 20th in OHL scoring, so when you take into account defensemen, goalies, the other leagues, etc. That is likely pretty accurate.

He is one point ahead of the USA's final cut who I think was Cole Cassells. So our 80th best player is about the same as your 22nd or 23rd.

By the time you get to 80, it is going to be much weaker.

Mike McCarron is American and I wouldn't want him on my team.

Excellent hockey
Usa are a very good team
They play exceptionally well in odd man situations which shows how well they are drilled in Ntp training program

I have said it many times that for us to beat usa youth teams is quite a feat
These programs are set up to win these tournaments
Canada and USA will meet again
Best teams by far

Demko was the only reason the game was close. Keep playing like that Canada and only miracles will keep the Gold from coming home. Canada is the most medalled team in the last two decades, and by a long shot. No other country even comes close.

I agree minus the "miracle" part. I was in Buffalo when we were smoking the Russians in the GMG and then, out of no where, the world caved in. Hopefully, we don't see that this year.

It's been a while Since Canada was able to own the Americans the way they did 2 nights ago. Thanks to Demko, Team Canada should have scored 7 goals.

but great game by both teams, extremely entertaining, not sure why McDavid wasn't put out against Eichel more often, that will be extremely exciting.

Hey this sure has been some great hockey eh? :D

No seriously the Americans have a pretty damn good team this year - nothing has been won yet so let's no get too cocky here!

Thoroughly entertained with the games thus far, can't wait for more!

Go Canada Go!!!
