This game was an anomaly for Mika. Since the x-mas break he has been at the other end of these charts.15 mil for Kreider and Zib is a war crime. They've each had little blips of decent play but overall have been awful. This team is winning despite them.
haha
It's the same decor today as in the commercial.
Are we in a playoff position or not yet
We have a better winning percentage than 2 teams ahead. We're a point out of a spot.
I guess all everyone has to ask themselves.......can you recall ONE instance where Trouba skated the puck out of the defensive zone and through the neutral zone and then creating a good zone entry? The key for both guys is they skate well, play a ‘stiff’ game and can effectively use both skating and passing to alleviate pressure. It makes a lot of difference

We are so use to non-physical defensemen that Will Borgen has become the one-eyed man in the land of the blind.
Think back to not to long ago when Brendan Smith was the d-man that we were all gushing over. He was given a 4 year deal that aged like tuna fish left out in the Summer sun.
Sell, Sell, Sell
By Trouba you mean Miller when they were on the same pair? Otherwise, no recollection of such eventI guess all everyone has to ask themselves.......can you recall ONE instance where Trouba skated the puck out of the defensive zone and through the neutral zone and then creating a good zone entry?
I want to go there now. I dont make it to that area of Brooklyn often though. I love a good throwback burger joint, though it seems they specialize in roast beef.
Its nice that he's in the right places at the right time sometimes, definiltey more involved in the game than Kreider, a definitely improvement, but the guy cannot make a single play. Always either whiffing, fumbling, or making the wrong decision. The bar is so low for him with you. What was so funny about my post? @KirkAlbuquerque

pretty sure he has some end to end goal even with the Rangers in the past few years but yeah he struggled with that!I guess all everyone has to ask themselves.......can you recall ONE instance where Trouba skated the puck out of the defensive zone and through the neutral zone and then creating a good zone entry?

He’s been a nice surprise. He’s far more willing to battle and he’s got good awareness defensively than his reputation made it seem. It's been a small sample size but Kaliyev has really fit in well. He isn't a burner but he isn't a bad skater like we all saw in the past with someone like Frolov or even Stepan at times. He keeps up. He is in good position and can make small skill plays to move the puck effectively. I have liked what I have seen so far. That and he doesn't waste a lot of time when he has the puck in or near a scoring area, he just shoots it.
Better regular season gets you an easier early round which can help.I would contend that regular season record isnt important and just making the playoffs is what matters. As an example look at 2023 where the Bruins had 135 points best record in nhl history and were eliminated 1st round of playoffs much to their fans dismay. And that same year the Panthers with a mere 92 points, entering the post season via the wild card were able to make it all the way to the Stanley Cup finals.
Though they lost to the Golden Knights, the next year they won it all.
I love this team we have now, though agree Mika, Kreider and Lindgren are the weak links in the chain. We still have a lot of great offensive pieces and critically (unlike last year and earlier this year) we have a defensive line up that really works. Might not be high $ all stars but it works. plus our superstar Igor has been on a streak of his own. I love Vaak, Borgen, Rempe, Edstrom and Carrick as new full time additions to the lineup and we're demonstrating just how good we are. Lets hope our mojo keeps rising and the good vibes continue.
There are two more bordeauxs that need to be Borgened on that label.
No bun or bread for this old timer.Their burgers and chicken sandwiches are good too.
Not easy to find a good Bordeaux, I mean Borgen
The Rangers played good enough to say they won the game but simultaneously Sens inexplicably did not show it at all so I'd take stats from that game I guess as NOT representative of performance against serious opponent whether it's Zibanejad and his linemates or anyone else. What was so funny about my post? @KirkAlbuquerque

The above have nothing to do with your other discussion.

Is he whiffing on shots and making the wrong decision on some plays? Yes, but that can be said about everyone on the team multiple times every game. However, the stats dont lie. Look at his stats over the last month. He is a top performer on the team. Its nice that he's in the right places at the right time sometimes, definiltey more involved in the game than Kreider, a definitely improvement, but the guy cannot make a single play. They both need to go.
Or, the Rangers played so well that they neutralized the Senators. The Rangers played good enough to say they won the game but simultaneously Sens inexplicably did not show it at all so I'd take stats from that game I guess as NOT representative of performance against serious opponent whether it's Zibanejad and his linemates or anyone else.
