I would have shit myself he scored on that breakaway. Would have sealed a near perfect debut. Kid was awesome.

He seems really strong too for his age. Like his hits and physical play to get separation. Either defenders weren't caught off guard or he's got lot of strength. Which as he ages he'll become beastly.

I tried looking him up on HockeyDB and got redirected to WebMD

Stop watching Grebyonkin play and get emergency medical help if you have:

- heart attack symptoms--chest pain or pressure, pain spreading to your jaw or shoulder, nausea, sweating;

- vision changes or sudden vision loss; or

- erection is painful or lasts longer than 4 hours

It’s not even that he’s just strong, he’s the only guy we have that I’ve seen actually enjoy hitting. Knies and Matthews will thump guys as hard as needed to separate the puck, Reaves sometimes wants to hurt guys, but Greb seemed like knocking dudes down was the highlight of his night. It’s weird because it almost has the same energy as Ovi after scoring a goal, he’s not mean about it necessarily but it’s more “hey look what I can do!”.

With his energy and hitting, we might want Reaves in the lineup. I think he's gonna have a target on his back, seems to play a bit like he's invincible. I love it, but a little worried it's gonna get him hurt. Same thing I felt about Grabovski and Robertson... just alot more heightened for Greb, because he is next level lol.

To be fair he’s got 30-40 pounds on them and climbing.

I know, I know... but a flying elbow is a flying elbow. His play toes the respect line for hockey. Veterans don't take kindly to other players hitting everything that moves, he also seems a bit fearless..like he's ready to drop with anyone.

So nice to hear that laugh, seeing a player really enjoy the experience is strangely absent in most of the media interviews... most of them have the look like they would rather be somewhere else, I get it, being asked the same question day in day out can get tiring. Sometimes even I want to choke some of the reporters.

That said, us fans love living vicariously through these guys, so seeing the glow in his eyes and the smile and sheer enjoyment of the moment was refreshing. Wish the kid the best!

Very good showing against a good team. I still think he needs some time in the A.
He'll be really good next year. This year he can be used as a call up

Talent is raw, but the game is there. You can tell, he gets it.

Defensively he was also sound. Made some serious nice backchecks, strong on the puck along the boards

His choppiness in skating reminds me of Antropov.

Did anyone ever mention who was the first to say "forecheck, backcheck, paycheck" ?
I can't remember where it came from and it's bugging me a bit.
Was it in Slapshot?
