It was a bad combo of Working playing fantastic and Forsberg not having a good game. Every goalie has bad games. Every goalie has good games. Impossible to win when your goalie has a bad one and the other team has a good one.

Hopefully the team can take pride in the fact that it was a very close game despite the huge goalie difference tonight. They played very well, if they play like that every night they will win more than lose.
I worry that we will react like we did after flyers. The boys need to get rewarded when they play like this. Not punished. And then in the media they have to talk about how the e goalies are great and they have to cut down on scoring chances. It’s f***ing sad

Without any context I'd agree with you, but Ullmark is just coming back to form so being a little cautious about overplaying him (in this case a back to back in two nights) is better for our season overall.

There were few mistakes but let's face it, we can't lose games like this largely because of weak goaltending. We need to replace Forsberg with a capable player who won't shit the bed half the time, especially against weaker opponents.
I wish they'd waive Forsy and call up Leevi

We got goalied HARD tonight. It happens to every team unfortunately. We're still playing very well, no need to read too much into it. Shake it off and get ready for the next one.
No. Need to go hard to the net. Crash it. Make it tough. Did not do that.
And get hamonic off the ice.
And don’t pull the goalie.

And you better not screw with those lines.

A shot from the hash mark on the pk is not egregious. If forsberg stops that we don’t even remember that chance.
That was probably their 2nd or 3rd best scoring chance of the night.

Say what you will, but I'd like to see pressure there, not just back in and dare to shoot. You don't see them or other teams just giving us that on our PP's.

So frustrating that we cant even find a way to get a point. Im sorry but 3 goals on 12 shots aint gonna cut it Forsberg....
I a little annoyed by the BS call on Norris followed by ignoring Tkachuk get high sticked shortly after, but we need to be better and kill that penalty, it's one thing if they beat you with a great play, but frigging Jensen and Chabot got confused and just handed them a great scoring chance, while Forsberg sat as deep in his net as possible.

We need Zub back and we need to move on from Forsberg asap

It's a good test to see if they learned their lesson from last time.

The fact that they played this well is good news. Let's hope they keep it up. If they do, they'll win alot more than they lose.

Last time this happened, they went in to lose 5 straight. No more moral victories
Because their goaltending continued to be bad.

Sens get called fragile every time their goalie sucks but they weren’t fragile tonight. They kept going everytime the Islanders scored.

They’ll be fine provided their goalie has a save percentage above .750

f*** Forsberg. If staios is serious about making the playoffs, he'll make a move for an actual goalie. He waits way too long to make these decisions.

Gotta be some reasonable in season solution, but it doesn't seem like they're interested in addressing it. With how much time Zub misses, and the team trending up, it seems reasonable to explore now.
According to Garrioch (take that as you will), SS is looking for some D help but so are many other teams.
