Every Department has its own standard. Here at Global Affairs, they fly us around the world to play golf/Fishing 4 time a week!
I know we giggle but I work at amazon and the hours are pretty standard like 9-5/6 depending on if it’s busy. But my gf works for one of the banks and works 2hrs a day. Her entire department basically told her to stop being so “keen”

They have a list of medical staff and the two guys they fired aren’t even in the list. They literally appear half way down a different list, below the assistant equipment managers. Maybe not having a department with a head dedicated to physiotherapy, training etc is part of the problem. The orthopaedic surgeons do not have anything to do with preparing the team for battle or helping them recover after surgery. And the whole team gets injured far too easily.

The reputation for public servants to be lazy may be warranted in some cases. I worked for 7 different departments and not all of them have top-notch employees and some will seek new ways to avoid working. I disciplined several myself as a manager. Then again, I have people that cant put the phone/laptop down and bill me insane OT each months!

So as you said, you go to any private company.... you'll see the same pattern. So people dishing on public servants are just trolling - i made my peace with that.

Medical staff might had made mistakes BUT, it's up to the players to be responsible too and tell the truth about their health. I lost lots of respects towards Gally and Monahan. We always say they are team players, but it looks more that they think more about themselves than the team. Two guys paid 6M$ and more per season.

Hire some some veteran special forces that have had the honor of training their peers and the medical staff!

It's not my impression that Hughes works on the basis of anger. He comes off as someone who is cerebral and rational. I don't believe they were looking for scapegoats, there must have been a process behind this based on the standards of the profession.

I hope they got it right.
Yeah, they've been looking into this issue for months, so it's not like it's a reactive decision.

I know a group of guys who work for revenue canada, they do nothing all day and Golf at least 3 days a week "working from home", they all make about 100k per year. They literally do nothing and are completely useless.

Hopefully we get some competent people to replace these two. I don't know it, but there's definitely a good reason they were fired.
I also know a group and they’re constantly swamped and don’t even know what golf is lol your group will just get fired honestly

Dr. Mulder just woke up from his daytime slumber and is relieved to know he still has a job, here's to another century of leeching and alchemy expertise.

Re-reading OG Dragon Ball after all these years, and it got me thinking the Habs should try to get ahold of Master Karin and buy some senzu beans, it would help tremendously.

Meh, half of the time he didnt have any or his fat buddy ate them all. Not reliable enough. That and I'm pretty sure cats aren't allowed inside the arena!

Hughes had to be pissed to fire his crew. He'd work with them if not. The Monahan miss handling costs first pick. He probably had plans to use it to trade up. Or get another Dach.

He wouldn’t have to be annoyed, just not convinced they could do their jobs. As with much of hockey there is randomness so a year or two could be bad luck, but there has to be some positive sometime. If Guhle or others never reach their potential it will be in part because of the medical staff.

I had had no interest whatsoever in golf until about a year ago.

The game kicks my ass everytime and I keep going back for more asskickings.

I'm usually pretty good at learning sports and being decent enough at them, so it burns me to no end that I can't say the same about this damn golf thing.
I’ve had people tell me the same exact thing about fishing with me. Golf? I’d rather be punched in the face than play for a day. Just me, but I understand my friend’s’ interest in it. They constantly ask me to go…
