While I don't wish for people to lose their livelihood, there were enough red flags around the team's injuries to warrant a change.

I like this reactivity better than Molson and Bergevin's 'no stone left unturned' back in 2016 which, spoiler alert, left many stones still unturned.

Incompetent as they are, you'd think they worked for the federal government
I know a group of guys who work for revenue canada, they do nothing all day and Golf at least 3 days a week "working from home", they all make about 100k per year. They literally do nothing and are completely useless.

Hopefully we get some competent people to replace these two. I don't know it, but there's definitely a good reason they were fired.

Surprised by this announcement for sure, but it likely needed to be done. Need some new people to take up the challenge of keeping this team healthy.

Does anyone know a little bit about the hierarchy of a team's medical staff?

Will this affect players coming back early, why the injuries might be happening in the first place (conditioning/health plan issues), and general bad decisions from the medical staff?

Or are these just the fall guys?

FINALLY. Hard to believe we had to literally set records for days missed for injuries two years in a row for change to happen. Hard to believe that Mulder, who is now 83 is still in charge. Of course some people are still very sharp at 83, but few are doing cutting edge work, and the evidence would suggest that Mulder's expiration date has passed.

I do.

These two are getting promoted (announcement pending), but they’re already bickering.

It's all about changing the apperance of things and trying something else. There's just no reality where Rynband after 19 years just forgot how to do his job...
People lose there jobs all the time after 20 years, players use to fight through injuries and now know better

Please send a link where we can apply there.

You have it wrong. I play golf at least FOUR days a week. Get your facts straight, buddy.

Something had to be done. Playing Monahan on broken foot in meaningless November game costs us a first round pick. On top of similar thing happened to Weber
I don’t know if that was on the staff. Apparently, a player has final say on whether he’s suitable enough to play and reports that I recall had Monahan insist on playing — he badly wanted to show Calgary that they made a mistake.

Looks like Calgary was right — no therapist or medic could have saved Monahan from himself last year.

However, there are other instances that must have pointed to the trainers in terms of responsibility.
