a good coaching staff/lockerroom leader figures out which approach individual guys respond too and you can't treat all players the same way...but prospects saying they'd rather not get yelled at doesn't mean that being tough on them didn't make them better players

Indeed.

And if Knoblauch is as much of a communicator in the same vein as Quinn, I'm sure he will have Murphy and whoever else joins his staff communicate in the same way.

Going to reassemble the Flyers coaching staff in Hartford.

well the flyers have been an AHL caliber team more or less in recent years so I'll take that as a good sign for hartford

yeah and you can also have complimentary personalities on the coaching staff where one guy uses the wipe but another is the one who puts his arm around the guy

They're really getting weird now with the long-con moves. First, they hire Knoblauch to entice McDavid in a year or two, and now they're bringing in Connor Murphy's dad?

I know it's easy to say lolFlyerz and shit on them for their time under Hakstol, but they actually were a relatively decent defensive team with Murphy as their assistant coach. They were low-event, but they have been in the top-10 fewest xGA60 under him since the 2016-17 season. I left out the two years prior because their defensive corps were an unabashed shitshow.

Wouldn't be surprised to see the Wolf Pack offer sheet Kyle Connor.
Ok, now they're taking it too far.
