I have no memory of the Leafs getting the close call 3 times in a row. Now they were the correct calls to be sure - it's just that I've never seen the correct call going the Leafs way 3 consecutive times. I now have an inkling of how a Bruins fan feels like or an 80's Oiler fan, or a 70's Hab fan.

Well, I do agree last night was an unusual circumstance, but I’d say NJ disallowed goals 2 and 3 were about as clear cut no goals as you can get.

Yes, we were badly outplayed in periods two and three, but I think saying we won due to fluke happenstance is simply inaccurate. At best, one of those 3 disallowed goals was legitimate and should have counted (the first one), so even if that one other call went the other way this game still sees OT, which is largely a crap shoot, even if we’ve been lousy in them so far this season

It was nice to see the officiating was decent, and all of the reviews were done honestly.

Leafs should have potted another couple, but just didn't have any luck with the loose pucks.

Nylander and Matthews look a little off.

Sandin looks like he's enjoying the opportunity.
Holl is big but not strong. He is 6'3", but is easily overpowered, and seems to lack strength on the puck.

Goaltender both ends was good.

Not even this year either, the devils are one of the hottest teams in the last 5 years.

Maybe he is an online gamer. I recall years ago injuring my wrist at the gym and then using my mouse for hours. It wouldn't heal so I had to cut down significantly on computer mouse clicking.

The wrist is a difficult joint to heal ( if that's his problem), it requires rest while still ensuring a constant flow of blood to obtain nutrients. He is still getting points and playing good defensively so it's not as if he has been cold for any length of time, just not finding his usual goal production.

So it healed for 60 goals then regressed?

Sometimes less is more. If you have a whole team committed to the same goal, it can do wonders. Maybe these “elite” players have decided to buy into the team concept.

Think about how long those Matthews threads were allowed to remain on the main boards when he wasn't scoring as much to start the year.

Some poster started a thread linking a tweet showing just how bad Draisaitl's defence has been over the last 3 years and it got locked before it hit a page. And there wasn't anybody slandering anyone either.

As for the posters on the main boards, they care about the Leafs more than they care about their own team. If they talked about their own team, nobody would care. Look at the page differences in threads involving the Leafs vs other teams, it's not even close.

They can hate the Leafs all they want but the team takes up permanent residence in their heads. Whereas leaf fans don't even think of Montreal, Edmonton or New Jersey unless we're playing them.
