Of course, as the IIHF and as it should. Not counting the USSR would not be fair.Russia has 27 golds? I take it you count CCCP, that's not fair.

Where would Thomas Chabot slot in for team Canada if this was a best on best tournament? Is he ahead of players within Subban’s tier?
(No order)
1. Burns
2. Doughty
3. Giordano
4. Weber
5. Pietrangelo
6. Ellis
7. Vlasic?
8. Reilly
Don’t think he has a case to outplay any of the top 8, and I’m probably forgetting people too.
He's going to be better than the above in 2-4 years or so.
All of those guys are getting older and losing a step.
Ellis is younger than both Doughty/Pietrangelo.
Well, to Mika Saukkonen, Marchessault's name has around 30 different pronunciations that he cycles through every game.
I agree. I see Finland starting it off as more aggressive than Canada. Comparing to the 2016 final, I'm more confident about Finland's defense and their ability to put the puck in the net. I can still vividly remember Granlund's sweet dish to Hietanen who put the softest shot on goal I've seen since recreational floorball. Finland needs to score first and not let Canada take away the momentum. Anyways, let the best team win!I can see Finland scoring the first goal in this one, I almost expect them too as they will come out all piss and vinegar, how Canada responds to that is going to be something to watch.
Yeah, I think they will come out stronger to start the game, they want to put Canada down with that first goal and get them under the gun right away, I think Canada will be a bit more passive to start and once they get comfortable with what the Finns are throwing at them will start to ramp things up.I agree.
