What an epic troll-win by the finns. Really happy for them. Hopefully this will teach the Swedish Ice Hockey Association to not throw millions and millions on ensurance to get 20-ish NHL-players of different caliber to represent them in this yearly tourny.

I disagree.

A team is all or nearly all the best players.

B team at least for me is very similar to A team but it's missing the key players so that players who would be in the 3th. & 4th. lines with an A team are now in the first 2 lines, and on PP, PK etc. It has many of the same players but because those players who would ideally not get that much ice time or responsibility are now getting it so it's pretty much entirely an different team.

So naturally C team would again be a team where fringe B team players are in key roles and the fill ups are again the less skilled or experienced players than them and so on.

So let's do the math, key players are pretty much the first 2 lines on both offence & defense and the starting goalie, so that's about 11 players. About 70 players declined the invitation this year, so in my mind there is about 6 fundamentally different team Finland's ahead of this one.

That makes this our G team.

Sure people have different ways of doing this kind of arbitrary rankings, some might even say that this is our C team because you can only get 2 entire lineups before this one with those 70 players that declined.

So it's at best our C team as you said but I would still call these guys our G team in terms of what it looks like on paper, they played as well as what an ideal A or at least B team would had tho.

But i have the feeling Canada need their top-guys to win WHC. Without Crosby,McDavid or McKinnon etc.,Canada couldn t win WHC in recent time.

The airspace was not violated... or maybe just a little... and if it wasn't it was maybe happening....

dang it feels good to have proper this-gen aicraft just going there and taking care of business. no harm no foul, no bad feelings, and nobody slipping in unannounced

Canada could very well win without their best players if they coached them exceptionally. It just seems to be their style to use basic coaching and fill their teams with stars and expect them to win with individual skill, grit and athleticism. Kinda like Russia.

It was propably just the Russian team coming home, destination unknown.
