If I was Finnish, I would already have a cardiac arrest. The only solution is more kalsarikännit. I'm not working on monday, so this has been a kalsarikännit weekend for me, even when Sweden was eliminated. Still damn entertaining.

Kaski was interesting choice. I would've picked Kakko or Manninen myself (if Manninen can take a penalty shot...) but I'm not gonna start whining about JJ's decisions at this point :D

I hope they had refs who are up to the challenge.

You guys should see the rulebook. That doesn't matter at all in IIHF rules
Some rulebook then, Chabot made a great defensive play, the Finnish player had the puck cleanly sweeped away off his stick and then the follow through on his skating through the stick took him down...........he did n't even have possession of the puck anymore.

No matter, shit happens in hockey games, the game rolls on.

Rule 167 - Tripping
DEFINITION: A player who uses his stick, skate, leg, or arm to take the feet out from an opponent, causing him to lose his balance or to fall.
i. A player who trips an opponent by any means will be assessed a minor penalty.
ii. If a player chases an opponent who is in possession of the puck and lunges along the ice, first knocking the puck away with his stick and subsequently causing that player to fall, a tripping penalty will still be assessed (but no penalty shot will be awarded).
iii. A player who recklessly endangers an opponent by tripping will be assessed either a major and automatic game-misconduct penalty or a match penalty.

No matter, **** happens in hockey games, the game rolls on.
Chabot literally sweeps the puck in the same motion as he is tripping the player, making knocking the puck away moot

Poor America referee - not too familiar with this whole "ice hockey" thing. Chabot clearly swept puck off stick first point of contact so no penalty shot. Worked out anyways, but abominably incorrect call - this clown belongs in the NHL!

There's just so much talent on that Canadas roster, one of these is going in.

Swedish commentator: "Severson with a slap shot... ooh, he was close to hit the referee there."

Sounds like Severson alright.

We've heard that for the entire playoffs playing against Finland.

edit: And there I jinxed it. Oh well, Canada wins.
