Had an interesting chat with one of the fathers of a Canadian player in Saint-Petersburg last week about our mutual respect for a small country like Finland producing such great players. He noted that the most populated areas in Canada now have a huge ethnic minority who are not interested in hockey but in cricket, soccer and field hockey. So the actual number of Canadians who are really interested in ice hockey is not as great as it seems to be. Very interesting.
