As we're half of the finnish forwards, who didn't generate any shots on net, unlike Laine, and the Finnish D that got absolutely worked.

Finnish coach is a fool for not getting Barkov/Jokinen/Laine away from the ROR/Scheif/Stone line.

ROR/Scheif/Stone isn't really a fearsome shutdown line though. With Barkov centering, at least they could have tried to shut down ROR's line themselves and play 0-0.

The Europeans who were trashing Canadian players and posters need to show some respect. The Russians and Finns in the stands, out of solidarity, should salute our Flag and sing along as a sign of respect. Just my thoughts. Nothing personal.

Lol... With your attitude towards the other teams supporters you would not get away unharmed in Europe.

It's nice to see McDavid was the best player tonight. He is so good he should have been and now he carried them to gold. :handclap:

Classy by Putin. Thanks for the love Russia.

We are the best on Russian soil. Love it.

I get real PO'ed when Canadians use this argument. For me this is tournament is in the same tier as the Olympics and Stanley Cup. I have no interest in that World Cup of Hockey in September.

Yeah the World championships are much more authentic than the highly manufactured World. Although the smaller countries like France and Germany might not win too many games it's still good to see them play and compete and the passion their fans have. A tournament where multiple countries are mixed into one team and where young players are lumped into one team is not creditable.

As a sign of respect- i hope the Finnish fans also sing along and salute our anthem as well. They need to show the proper respect, since this was not even our A or B team.

So classy, is this winners attitude?

It seems that Canada cares a lot of this victory. Having a party before the game is over. It fits the picturee. Suomi did look like bunch of twelve year olds too. Congrats Canada. :shakehead
