Pressure but no chances. The first goal wasn't even a chance. Just a great shot from Nyquist. Sweden created about 2-3 real chances in 40mins. I'd be pissed if I were you. Switzerland should be ahead by now. You're lucky they failed to convert on some of their breakaways.

Sweden created tons of pressure and finally it gave result, the 2-2 goal, good enough for me. The third period will be extremely interesting, the Swiss team is really good this year.

What? No way, Switzerland has clearly overtaken Slovakia for the 7th spot, but there is no way they should be considered a part of the top6 instead of the Czechs. Maybe we can start talking about top7.

Im still to flabbergasted to think that far... but they sure have the edge and the fundamentals to make life hard for any top nation in WHC (if they get their players from NHL). Next step for them is to get the depth to be threatening in a best on best tournament. Today they dont look far from that even though Canada will always be a step ahead of the rest.

Honestly, I'm surprisingly calm about all this.
Like, getting a silver is already cool, the game is entertaining and (so far) our team isn't just turtling. If they actually manage to win, it will be a mere bonus.

They are pretty much there, would like to see some better consistent placings at the junior level though.

Who would you take out for him? Who should get demoted/less icetime? We're talking about a well balanced team here. He would help for sure but he'd hardly be a gamechanger after a tough NHL season. He looked tired against Tampa.

A good screen yes but that's about it. Weber said the same on SRF. Not necessarily a created chance, just a nice shot from Nyquist.
