Let's see whose jaw will Malkin break in this final. Last year it was Haula after a minute of play. Team Canada, show some rough stuff for those russians!

Jesus, still whining are we? Finland got absolutely ****ing destroyed in that game, but no no no it was the officials!

My favorite whine from last year was the guy chasing around a Russian player and pushing him to the perimeter when he didn't even have the puck at all during the shift, but you guys swore up and down that it wasn't interference.

obviously canada has the stronger team (four strong lines and d) but bob is the better goalie and russia has some gamebreakers (malkin, ovechkin, kovalchuk, and tarasenko)... it may go either way.

russia has gamebreakers..since when canada hasn't any? countless

I hope our D stays focused and we don't fall apart right out of the gates. If we let Canada make it rain 2 or 3 goals out of the gate - we are doomed.

Canadian Announcers talking this up as Ali-Fraser like the teams are even close

They want to make the win seem much more impressive than it is.

Smith to Bobrovski in this tourney is like Price this season vs Rask this season. NOT EVEN CLOSE.

Good NHL defense vs ECHL defense.

Giroux, Hall, Seguin would be on the A team...

But they weren't though.

The only ones from the Sochi team are Mr. Back ups back up Smith and Duchene who was a bench warmer.

Crosby is obviously on the A team.

Sure those guys have A team talent but for whatever reason they were left off.

Hopefully that changes after this tournament.

Dear Canadians, if by some miracle team Russia does win this game, pleas do not use the excuse of "You basically have your Olympic team here, and we only have our C,D,E,F and so on team"

I'm not Canadian but I'll grant you that no excuses this time.

Oh its pretty close outside of the players I mentioned and Markov all of Russias impact/best players are there. Radulov is ok I guess but nothing special at this level.

I dont see Yakupov being a positive player against an offensive team like Canada he would do more harm than good he simply is very poor on the defensive side of the puck.

I like Canada's chances but I was arguing it is closer than many posters have suggested.

Also no Semin, yeah he his declining and had an injury ridden season, but for Russia he is quite impactful player. Radulov is one of the best Russian players active today and a HUGE loss.

because they have enough talent for multiple A teams. No way everyone could make it.

Just like old times. It's always special to play the Russians.
