It happens everytime when Canada and Finland play. Both sides are equally as bad.
We’re all so passionate about hockey.

This was all Canada though, once Finland scored 2-1 this thread was full of "This is why Finland sucks and is irrelevant" as if it was teams or our fault.

Before that this thread was super clean and good.

True but when the calls are gong one way its very suspect. Why did the refs review the Canada goal but not the highstick penalty? What is going on there?

Nobody is railing against the Fins or their fans.

They haven't gone "one way".

One single high stick penalty vs. many missed calls, including that one on 3-2 goal.

Im enjoying this situation. Its kinda fair that it went to OT, i hope refs do the only thing bad refs should do: put the whistle to pocket and tell it to players. Only blatant penalties called, if they are on scoring chance.

First OT period would be 20 min of 5on5 or 4on4. If that doesn't give a result, then next OT would be 3on3.

Hmm, my thoughts on this upcoming overtime: I think the top end talent that Canada can bring with the open ice favours Canada and I think the goaltending situation favours Finland.

The fact Canada got a goal because not a call on a cross check is a makeup call. So I hope Canadians are happy.

The reffing was terrible for both sides.

Finland had the breaks in the 3rd, not Canada. It is what it is.

You feel the urge to repeat that and downplay everyone else.

Let's be clear here. Both teams are very good but both are missing their best players. It still means something to the players who win it and their countries should be proud the players are playing their hearts out.
