Hirose looks good.. has a lot of work to do in the usual strength etc.. categories.. but poise

Mcward looks like a keeper.. either we are finding the right ice veined kids or the coaching staff is really instilling confidence in them or both

But the poise of these two i am legit kinda optimisitically just a shade excited.. and with my prospect boner over johansson i am very pleased with the youth coming now. Players are players

Bear is playing himself back into scratch pto territory

McWard and Hirose have been playing better than Bear.

I graduated from high school 20 years ago and used to work out and I weigh less now and I haven't been to a gym in 20 years. Looking at O'Brien it's like he stopped doing anything active, that's insane how big he's gotten.

O’Brien is only 39 and looks 50 and like a heart attack looking for a place to happen.
Ya, hopefully, he's got his cholesterol levels checked. It's not uncommon for males to have heart attacks in their forties.

I am not shaming him but I wasn't overweight but ate like shit in my 20s and luckily my doctor told me to get a blood test and my cholesterol levels were through the roof. In my late 30's now. Also writing this because if some of you are in your 30's it is a good idea to get your blood checked for high sugar, cholesterol, etc.

Worlds better.. relative to their situation or not..

When a player with poise comes in.. let alone two it really emphasizes what is around them..

Myers.. well f*** whatever but bear has started treating the puck like a grenade..

So now with hughes and hronek.. and a couple kids pushing all with that capability it hopefully allows you to walk from bear. If bear was like a schenn or hakanpaa maybe you let it go a bit because of other elements.. but not as he is..

Hard to disagree. I've been impressed too. I wouldn't rush to get rid of bear, it too easy to be fooled by a few good games before the flaws get noticed (see bear himself for the post trade hype). I wouldn't give bear a big contract either. One year, no raise.

Thse small samples in garbage time are not that telling.Last game they all looked bad

Hard to tell what happened there because of the stupid camera angle but that looked poor below the goal line from ep/mcward

Well not bad bad but definitely not good enough the kids give a pass big learning curves but it will be well into camp and next year to judge

Did I just see a good pivot from Myers under pressure and a subsequent good clear off the boards that went to our players

I mean of course there are flaws.. and they appear coachable on angling and positioning.. they have a ton of work to do any young defenceman does..

But the positives are hard to ignore

They all should start in Abbotsford and earn a call up
