He's not really. He's a PPG player whereas Miller and Petey are 90-100 point guys.

I don’t think Eichel has been healthy enough in the regular season to show what he can do in a full year. He showed what he can do in the playoffs. Miller’s been better this year but last year he was also PPG and bad defensively. Pettersson’s scoring this year is in part due to sporadic big games. His consistency has been shit.

I liked that pods drive to the net but it kinda looked to me like he had his head down a little when he did that

Let's use PPG since that metric is favorable to players who miss a lot of games.

Since joining the Canucks, Miller is 14th in PPG, league wide.

Eichel is 30th during that same time period.

(In raw numbers, Miller is 10th in actual scoring during that time period, while Eichel is 92nd).

Eichel's best finish was 10th in league scoring, while Miller's best finish was 9th. Miller is also 9th in scoring again this season.

What Eichel did last season in the playoffs was great. He also did it on a team that was significantly over the Cap. And he was outplayed by Marchessault, who won the Conn Smythe. That doesn't put him above Miller's superior body of work in my eyes.

Yeah, that doesn't change the fact he doesn't score at the same rate as Miller and Petey. Yeah he had a solid playoff run, but if we're talking about consistency, one good run doesn't put him in the same tier as the Canucks guys. In fact he's been far less consistent year of year compared to Petey and Miller. He's a good player no doubt.

myers is having those few times a year games where he makes no mistakes and everything looks effortless and he’s ahead of the play and it’s just poetry in motion and you wonder why he doesn’t always look like this

EP has got to be nursing something. When he's injured, he loses effectiveness very obviously. Or timbers 5x more.

Myers playing well seems to always play well against Vegas. I remember the bubble run when it seemed like he was the only player that could get the puck past the red line in game 6 and 7 against Vegas.
