I haven’t seen the Canucks have that much room on the ice for years. St. Louis was horrible, but obviously positionally we’re better this year.

I may have to move up from my pre-season call of 100 points. Looking good boys. yes, its only 7 games, but pretty much a dream start to the season. The big stat that stands out is that we are 2nd in the league at +13.

I think we all can agree that this start is like Kuz's shooting percentage last year. Probably not sustainable, but HF what a start.

Edit - and on top of that most of our prospects are blooming (well not bloom) and Podz is looking good.

2nd edit - I somehow missed the Podz injury. Hope that guy is punished severely .... that take down was bloody criminal.

It was fair to bash his effort at times in the past. But he's been a different player since Tocchet arrived and it's great to see.

Cause we had ‘wonder boy’ Bo Horvat whom was absolutely mid as a player and captain.

That was a shitkicking. The first 30 minutes were the most dominant Canuck performance since the Presidents Trophy years. Shots 28-7 in a 4-0 game halfway though. Shot attempts were 35-4 at one point.

Got a little sloppy in the 3rd but that was one hell of a statement game.

Hughes, Hronek, Miller in particular were massive. Demko rock solid. Nobody was bad.

If the PP could have clicked this could have been 7-0 or 8-0 and deservedly so.

That first period was the best I have seen the Canucks play in a long time. They were very unlucky to only be up 1. After the second they let off the gas a bit and the big guns stopped seeing the ice with 5 minutes left.

5-0 win and Hughes with the lowest TOI at ES of any Canucks defenseman. Good team win.

As an aside, I feel for Suter... he has played well and deserves more than the 0 points that he has.
