Not if the glass goalie is iniured bud

Lankinen got smoked in 4 nations and can't handle starting duties

Get real bud
Lol.

How many NHL teams boast the kind of rosters team usa etc have? Not to mention the terms together by scotch tape Finnish defense.

Should really try to trade Demko for something at this point.
Why? What good could possibly come from that? I mean I get this season has been basically a write off but not only has he shown his last four starts he's still capable of being elite and could very well be a difference maker when it counts the most but imagine next year he's fully healthy and wins a vezina and we fall flat on our face due to shitty goaltending.

Goalies carry little value regardless and as of right now Demko would be at a value far below his worth.

I just doubt he can stay healthy long term at this point, personally.

This Week’s Practices
  • Had a tough skate yesterday, harder than the previous day
  • Felt that the team has handled the practices well and a good indication of where the players are at
  • Ran more contact drills to make sure guys are mentally and physically engaged before Saturday’s game
  • Didn’t want to grind the players on stops and starts on the first day
  • Have gone over 3 days of good video and had a review today
  • Reviewed special teams
  • Feel liked they’ve prepped
Excitement Level
  • Seemed like the team was having fun this week and are happy to be back
  • Good feel going on
Foote’s Break
  • Got to see a lot of his family and his son
Hughes Update
  • Tomorrow will be the second day of contact; after they arrive in Vegas
  • Will check with the medical staff after tomorrow’s practice
  • Is optimistic but will put him into some harder corner 1-on-1s
Playing for Canada
  • Didn’t understand how big the Olympic win was until they won and returned to Canada
  • Putting the Maple Leaf on is huge
Goaltenders
  • Only Silovs will travel on the road trip
Roster Misc.
  • Will have a discussion about whether they will go on the roadtrip
  • Garland was sick
  • Team arranged for Lankinen and Pettersson to skate in Vegas today
Elias Pettersson, Forward
  • Has not been told Pettersson was sick during the 4 Nations tournament

Makes you wonder how much guys like Eichel and Stone will have left in the tank for Vegas Saturday night, after that stomach-churning Four Nations final.

Just a suspicion on my part, but Canadians were probably lucky that Quinn Hughes wasn't on the ice for the Americans. You can almost guarantee that he would have made three or four plays from the blueline that would have resulted in some glorious chances at the very least.

Canucks n Knights. Here are some probable lineups:

Vancouver

Hoglander EPettersson Sherwood
Debrusk Chytil Brock Boeser
O Connor Suter Garland
Joshua Blueger Aman

Hughes Hronek
MPettersson Myers
EPettersson Soucy

K Lankinen
Silovs

Las Vegas

No Clue

Looking forward to see how the Blueger Aman Group performs

Hughes not playing on the 4-nations tournament not only ensure he's better rested for the remaining NHL season but also gave you Canadien folks a higher chance of winning.

True canucks captain.

Pro sports games are often a curious oddity in Vegas. Depending on the tourist traffic and whether it's a holiday, there can often be as many fans of the visiting team in the stands as there is cheering for the home squad.

I'm, always struck by Raiders games in Vegas. The crowd is usually way louder for the visiting NFL team than they are for the home town NFL team.

But if reports mean anything, fewer Canadians are planning on traveling to the U.S. this year. So Canucks Nation may not be as prevalent in places like Seattle, San Jose and Los Angeles and of course Vegas.

With respect to Vegas, it's probably less so for who just got elected there & moreso for the combination of a terrible exchange rate *AND* the extreme price gouging in Vegas. Their (casinos) main goal is to concentrate on the 'high rollers' / 'bigger gamblers'. The "regular gambler' is sort of a nuisance to them. IMHO.

So Theodore is definitely week to week, but I wonder if Pietrangelo is still out. If so, the VGK d-core is pretty decimated...in our favour.

He was supposed to be on Team Canada but they shut him down and put in Doughty instead

I know he bowed out to rest up for Vegas’ playoff run, thus paving the way for Doughty to be on Canada - but I don’t think he ever actually stopped playing for Vegas after bowing out, which raised some eyebrows.

Huh. Well, I guess we'll find out tomorrow. I didn't realize he kept playing for VGK after it was announced.
