$55 that's crazy. I went to the last sharks game here, the Christmas game dec 22 I think.. $415 per ticket 2nd row on the faceoff dot
My family has had season tickets since 1970 in the lower bowl. Great seats. I can't afford them, so I sell them to friends. We went from 4 tickets to 2 6 - 7 years ago in disgust and the price and the product.

Those tickets are about $240 each. And you have to buy preseason games at the same ugly price. (sort of a 6% annoyance tax). I go to one or two games a year, but going to the games from Chilliwack is a major pain, what with the hwy 1 construction in the evenings on the way home.

We tried a few times to go see games in either Vegas or AZ. It would part of a vacation, and what with having a time share there, it would really be cheaper to fly there, go to the games and enjoy a 2 week vacation there. Never quite made it work, sadly.

(The math is in comparing the vacation there against other vacations and add in the cost of the game, I will not go into the detail)

Sharks are prey for the Orca.

I think the issue is, the team says that Demko is their #1 guy and for the sake of his ego and to motivate him they are treating him as such.
This became a problem when he played four games straight but these last couple of games he's looked good. He's deserved the wins when the guys in front of him didn't contribute.

My thing is is Lankinen has earned it and Demko needs to fully recover. We have a great tandem now but the leagues hate tandems. Lankinen is certainly worth a lot more now for this one season but can Demko hold up?
My worry is that Lankinen (who has an ego too) might decide that the only reason the Canucks are even in a playoff race is because of his stellar play and himself become disgruntled with the way Demko is being favoured. For all we know he has already told the Canucks that he will seek employment elsewhere (as a #1 goalie) and they are acting accordingly.

I know what you are saying but Lankinen is on a mission now that he's had a taste of winning. It's either succeed now or get lucky enough to be a backup and probably get sent to the minors. That salary is what teams thought of him before he joined the Canucks and can be an anchor.

124 with wife and two kids. Will don a Petterson jersey and my son has a Marleau jersey.

I’ll be there in 128 have a great time and drive safe! The rain and wind this week has been no joke
Have a good time guys. I didn't make it.
Next season when they are next in town maybe...or the playoffs :sarcasm:

These 7:30 starts being 10:30 out here on the east coast are just brutal. I can work with the 7pm ones, but that extra 30 minutes sucks.

Games going until 1am in the regular season are just hard to watch - no wonder so many people still have no clue how good Hughes is.
730 starts suck on the west coast too!

I can't see a universe where Hughes, with the type of injury it looks like he has, plays before or during the 4 Nations tournament.

Best-case scenario, in my mind realistically, is that he's fully ready to go when the league starts up again.

What a testament to RePetey and DPetey that our team has looked so good without him.

Survive two more games and hope the break heals QH43.
People here are going to defend him going to the Four Nations if he decides he wants to go.

When clearly the best thing for the team, and for his health, is to rest.

I personally will not be making excuses for him if he goes. I will absolutely levy criticism on a decision like that.

He’s our best player but that doesn’t mean he can do no wrong.

He has to sit out this (meaningless!) tournament.

I've been as critical of Demko as anybody but I'm fine starting him here. Two of his three last games have been really good, he can get the lighter game and hope to build momentum while Lankinen gets the big game on Saturday.
