Need to move on from Boeser and get whatever we can get for him this trade deadline. He'll want 7 Million and we can't afford that. Get younger and faster, that cap space gets us a nice piece.
I don't disagree Grub. I like Brock and think hes a great scoring winger (more so than most), but his play has clearly declined. Can he get back to 40 with the right line/team? Yes. Is it with us? Likely not, especially now that Miller is gone.

Having said that, I would not trade him for negative value. Keep and resign if you dont get a package that helps the team now. May need to be patient. I think the people talking rebuild (including some on this site) are bonkers.

Is it too early to criticize Joshua or no?
Trust me, I’m sympathetic to his off-season, and his medical problems, and everything, but I don’t know, he’s just not playing well
Yes, too early.

He went through cancer and that can take a huge toll on the body. And then he missed training camp + pre-season + first month of the season, then after 1.5 months he got injured again and missed another 4 weeks.

This season might just be a write-off for him.

I figure for a guy who’s had conditioning issues in the past, he probably won’t ever get up to speed this year. Which is fine, but I don’t think he’s good enough to keep playing him with up the lineup with Garland just to get him going

some are just naturally lanky

Like M Petterson, 6'5 but only 178 lbs
That's true, but there's is always need for improvement, especially if you are C/F. Sedins were a great example of this. They worked their asses off every season to build strength - it took a few years. I'm not convinced Petey is making the same effort.

Firmly believe that Vancouver made the Miller trade when they did so they could evaluate how Pettersson reacts to the new environment between then and the trade deadline.

They won’t hesitate to trade him if he continues to no-show. He needs to go above and beyond to demonstrate that he isn’t part of the problem.
I firmly believe that Miller wanted off the team. What the team does with Pettersson is based on Pettersson's play.
