Next shoe to drop in the trade market is Boeser.....no chance he gets past the TDL. Tonight he's playing like he's already been traded.

Team looks faster and looser but way too loose. Completely outmatched in the D zone.
Dallas is a very good team. Even having Miller Canucks were a very mid team. Trading away the first they got for help immediately. I doubt the needle moves all that much towards a SC contender.
 
Well if Hughes makes Pettersson productive then why are we paying him 11 million?
Miller wasn't exactly lighting the world up away from Hughes either. So it's the same but replace 11 with 8.

We've got one great defender, two defenders who seem to only be good with Hughes in Myers and Hronek, and then a trio of guys who can't help with the offence.

There's a part of me that wonders if management decided that, after whatever drama caused Miller's break from the team, they needed another big move on the defence as well and that trading Miller allows for resources to do that. This team isn't going anywhere with this defence and we can't keep on trading for rentals
