tbh didn't really have a problem with the performance in the first and second. difference was just not getting one on the PP but those PPs weren't bad imo, we just didn't get lucky. it happens.

the first half of the third was awful. conventional wisdom suggests that trailing by 1, and then by 2 not long into the 2, leads to a big push, shots on goal, risks taken, and that just didn't happen. is that a coaching thing. is that hughes being hurt. i dunno. but i didn't see anything that suggested the team and the coach knew they were down by 2 until that slightly deranged goalie pull.
