Don't they have an extra slot with Friedman being sent down? I could be wrong though

I'm assuming, and completely forgot to state, that I figured they will use that spot for Joshua who is expected to activated for the game.

What does this mean?

Canucks have a 22/23 roster with both Joshua and Juulsen on IR. It's expected that Joshua will be activated for this game. For Juulsen to get activated, someone else would need to be sent down. We're inching closer and closer to D-Petey playing again and, hopefully, in a more prominent role.

There is honestly no way to make even the slightest of educated guesses at which version of the team will show up:

The one that is desperate to make the playoffs, tries their asses off, and plays to their potential

Or

The one that could care less about shooting the puck, forgets a lifetime of coaching and practicing as they leave players wide open for grade-A chances, and goes down 3-0 in the first period

Or

The one that sees Hughes create %100 of the offense, finishes with under 25 shots on net, relies on stellar goaltending to earn a point, and then Myers trips over Boeser and falls into Miller as it creates a 3-on-0 the other way for an embarrassing OT loss

Pettersson has taken a step. Openly says he wants to stay. Is out working with the Coaching staff and Sedins.
To be fair he wasn't openly trying to stay here a year ago. He got overpaid and now he wants to make sure he doesn't go somewhere like Columbus or or Buffalo to earn that money. He better figure it out soon or he'll be gone before the NMC kicks in lol.

They put in a good effort Saturday against the Caps..but they always follow it up with a stinker (this season anyway)

Hopefully that changes tonight.
