Lankinen, Sherwood, Debrusk, and Forbort were all great/solid signings. The only major miss has been Desharnais, but at 2M cap hit its manageable and not a big deal.
heinen is also manageable and while i think it's nice to have hometown players, the money he's making would be better spent on pius suter
He does have the most goals on the team with 17. The problem is that he is very streaky and can go 10-15 games without a goal.

man hughes had two five alarm assists. that first one to thread the needle under the guy’s skate was ridiculous. that said, the last little bit he’s making around five mistakes a game. i don’t know if he’s getting tired or teams are pressuring him better but for most of the season he was making zero mistakes per game.
i feel like a jerk pointing this out because he still tilts the ice almost every shift, but for a lot of the year he was literally perfect. if he was playing basketball, he would have had an assist to turnover ratio of infinity over the first few months.
