They're playing like they're waiting for 'the other shoe to drop'. This is all on Allvin. If he does nothing in the next couple of weeks--it's obvious he's writing off the season.

At this point it’s probably for the best. We’ve seen nothing from this group that suggests they’re going to go on a run now that they’re mostly healthy. They’ve actually been worse because they’re not getting the great Lankinen starts they were the start of the year

It’s crazy this same group of players is pulling this exact same shit again on yet another coaching staff and front office.

Three biggest issues with this year's team

1.) defense.
2.)Goaltending (bottom 5 in HDSV %)
3.) both Petey and JT have underperformed and Blueger isn't the kind of 3rd line center that can make up for it.

If only one of these is an issue you're still in a comfortable playoff spot. Management probably figured the goaltending and centers could carry this team until they upgraded the defense around the deadline. I doubt they thought the core outside of Hughes would lay a giant egg all year.

Honestly can’t get it out of my mind how crazy it would be to offer sheet Luke Hughes to something ridiculous that forces NJ’s hand. Send them Miller to further complicate their cap and ensure Hughes stays

Demko’s stance has been super weird since his injury, and he’s been getting ventilated since. Either his injury is affecting him, or our coaching is failing him.

All of this is giving me Benning PTSD, I can’t really watch or get invested anymore. Alvin was great last year, but this year has been a masterclass in how to make every problem worse and address none of the core problems.

Feel terrible for Tocchet and Hughes.

Could also be that he is being asked to change his style mid-season and having difficulty adjusting. This season should be a write-off when it comes to Demko imo.

Career is over.

Management can’t just keep calling out their players and have them in the rumor mill at the time like this without it affecting the players and room. They’re human beings not a bunch of robots. Ask Drury how that went.

Management needs to stfu and stop being so damn impatient. Like do your f***ing job and add pieces to this dog shit defense. They’ve come off as unprofessional and created so much animosity

Yea, if JT and Demko are playing close to last year they’re in a clear playoff spot imo, even with the defense and Pettersson’s struggles. But when 3 of your 4 best players are significantly underperforming, it’s pretty hard to win consistently.
