Garland just has a motor that never stops. The top line could learn for work ethic and how it produces results in the end.

Well tbf, hard to maintain momentum when your starting goalie allowed two soft ass goals

The screen obviously cost the goal overall but Demko was out of position which is why the screen worked. He was biased towards his post which is a long time bad habit of his.

I'd say it's 75% Myers fault but you still have to fight through your own guys screens. Also it's nylander and those types of guys will shoot from weird situations. You have to know that, it was poor situational awareness.

Toronto’s always tough because of the speed they have throughout their line up. I’ve always been impressed with how quickly they blow past guys through the neutral zone.

I was originally in favour of keeping Mikheyev among our glut of $5M wingers but now I would keep Garland over him if we can retain Joshua.

Garland is key to this team going forward. I'd even consider him a core player at this point. He drives the third line and is so important to this offense.

That's why I said he's a premium third liner, he can crush soft matchups. Loses against tougher coverage.

He crushed it on Arizona's first line and crushed it on the 2nd line his first year here.

He wasn't winning vs anyone, soft or hard matchups, during his slump.

You obviously have to be hesitant about breaking up that line given their chemistry, but at what point does Garland play his way into an audition with Pettersson? He's definitely deserving of a bigger role, maybe even some PP1 time.

The important thing for me is that he doesn't kill that line. Mikheyev is literally killing every line he's been on.

Like Hogs can score from the 4th line and Mikheyev is just floating around out there.
