Demko hasn't exactly set the world on fire since he's been back and he has been carefully case managed to protect him. Are you seriously telling me that you would bench your season saving goalie who has just shut out the Leafs on HNIC in favor of a guy returning from a serious injury who has played poorly compared to his earlier career against one of the league's best teams? He's won 2 out of 8 games and has a dreadful ,883 save % this year. If the Canucks just hand him back the #1 job they can kiss the season goodbye, and probably Lankinen too.

Lankinen has been all world for the Canucks, but Tocchet is showing some serious dis-respect by leaving him in there.

Unless there's some reason Demko isn't available for this one, he needed to be in there after the first period.

And there's couple of guys on this Vancouver roster that leave me bewildered. Heinen and Di Giuseppe. If they're on this team next season, then they could be headed to lottery land again. They try, but deliver really nothing shift after shift.

I'd rather see a young guy from Abbotsford. At there'd be some hope of improvement.

Desharnais, Forbort and Juulsen handle the puck like a grenade and it just bottles the team up in their own zone.

The D sucks and that's a major problem, but a major secondary issue is that a lot of the wingers don't really do a lot.

It is coaching, last year the Canucks went full run and gun then swapped to a defensive shell at the All Star break.

Now coaching has done a full defensive shell and the players are sick and tired of it already.

I don’t think Tocchet will be re-signed. I think the players know it too.

Unfortunately he's been ragged dolled a few times this year. Marchand jumped him and luckily Miller went after him. The Washington game though Dubois was attacking him all night. Even slashing Hughes splinted hand. Should of been a beat down for that one indeed.

Soucy, juulsen, desharnais, forbert, brisebois. The bottom end of our defense is so f***ing slow and has zero ability with the puck. It slows the entire f***ing team down.

Add in the boring ass style tocchet deploys and we are molasses.

I love when juulsen holds the puck unchallenged for 20 seconds and then ices the puck the moment a player steps his way.
