Hard to believe it's the halfway mark of the season already. What a roller coaster it has been.
Our effort last game was commendable - hope we can bring that same intensity into this one and the second half of the season altogether.

A bad match up for the Canucks. Speed vs sloth.
A highly skilled rush team.
They have a maniac on that team too. That Carrier guy that hits late like Sherwood.
Carolina does play tonight so tomorrow is considered to be scheduled win for the Canucks.

Team looked great last night and deserved a better fate. I can't help but think Petey and Hronek would potentially help a ton in OT. It was painful having to watch Suter and Big Bird out there last night........
Agreed that the Canucks deserved a better fate last night.....outshot the Caps 20-3 in the second period alone.
But the lack of five-on-five scoring and shot attempts has plagued this team all year. With Petey gone, Suter is totally miscast as a second-line center. And as good as Blueger was last year, he's an offensive black hole this season.
And of course the only other center on the roster is Sasson, who's a gamer but hardly a guy you'd look to for offense. So basically, if their PP isn't clicking, the Canucks are finding it almost impossible to string wins together.

Can't fault the effort whatsoever in yesterday's game, "deserved" a better result.
Important that we see the team continue to work hard despite the losing skid and all the injuries and drama.
I'm always here defending Tocchet but the deployment in OT is getting quite bad. Can't see Soucy and Myers out there anymore, use 3 forwards instead. And one of them can't be Boeser because he is becoming a liability in OT as well.

Serious Question: Is there any other player that has as much impact on the game as Hughes? Every game I watch he's the best player on the ice standing out all the time.........he's amazing.........fuk are we lucky........

I hope Miller claps these guys.
I still hold a grudge against the low ballers involved in the Miller shenanigans when we tried to trade him and he had two playoff runs left at 5.25 mil and somehow GM's didn't value him at all - it still blows my mind. He finished with 100 points that season and no one offered anything worth a damn.
