juulsen is fine, but on balance, with the rest of the defense being myers-soucy-forbort-desharnais, it is insane to not have brannstrom in the lineup

Not really - replacing them with Forbort and Desharnais and resigning Myers did

Zadorov at his contract is not a good deal - people get too sentimental

i know everyone thinks this team is deep at forward but i really think management did an awful job with roster construction and their offensive struggles are as much about that as they are about anyone underperforming or injuries

they added too many middling forwards who can look okay for a short stint on a scoring line but don't really bring anything themselves and struggle to create. heinen, debrusk, joshua, suter, blueger and even garland and boeser. those guys all need miller or pettersson to accomplish anything and there isn't enough of them to go around. that's why most of them seem to be slumping at any given time. they really need one more high end offensive producer

the defense is just awful construction. maybe if hronek was an effective duo with soucy or something and hughes could play with myers or juulsen it'd be okay but you can't play over half the game without a guy who can move the puck on the backend
