- Need to be confident in their game and have the 5 on the ice be connected
- Beat their check a bit more; waiting too much
- Jake has speed through the neutral zone, Boeser is good around the net, and Miller is a jack-of-all trades
- Tough to play against
- Game time decision if there’s any defensive changes
- Luxury of having two great goalies
- Demko plays tonight
- Lankinen plays tomorrow
- Keeping Lankinen fresh while giving Demko enough games so he gets his legs underneath him
- Back in the day, you see more games like the last one; players used to hold grudges
- Thought it was a great emotional response from the Canucks
- Doesn’t like fighting for the sake of fighting but when you feel you are getting taken advantage of, you have to answer the bell
- Tough hockey isn’t always about fighting; could be a skill guy blocking a shot or holding the puck to facilitate a line change, as examples
- Need to be more of a teacher now
- Coaches used to tell players what to do or they wouldn’t play and now it’s more about teaching; it’s a “why generation” and you need to explain
- Coaches still tell them what they’re doing but it’s a lot more teaching
If Brisebois can play 26 more games for the Canucks, he will equal the number that Carolina got out of Eddie Läck (damn near a decade ago now). One more after that, and Benning wins the trade, I guess?

Sounds like Brannstrom might be the guy coming out, which is nuts to me if true. Obviously Juulsen is insulated by Tocchet's absolute insistence on not playing guys on their off-side, but still.

Figured it was only a matter of time until Brannstrom ended up firmly in Tocchet's dog-house. He's basically the d-men version of Nils Hoglander.
Basically the only puck-mover we have and right now he's been forced into first-unit PP duty. I mean the poor guy is being forced to play with Desharnais night after night. How can it be possible to look good?

Would love to have a bounce back game against the Kraken. I'd especially love for Demko to have a solid 60 minutes, but so much depends on all of our players bringing their best, not just the D-corps.

I think we're starting to see Tochetts short comings as a coach. I'm not saying fire him but this team creates nothing. Also see how much he favours the big trees. Instead of anyone that can move a puck. Even with the lack of scoring he refuses to play the hell out of Hoglander to try and get him going and score.

Pretty pretty decent lifestyle ..
The defence looks like what got Travis and Bruce fired. Forward's are much better though. I know the prospect pool is weak and has been for a while but when Bruce left, it looked like Podz and Hogs could continue to develop and they have gone up and down and sideways. Struggle to integrate players into lines that have any sort of chemistry on a consistent basis.
