Canucks will be ringing in the new year in Calgary huh. I bet when a team has a road game on nye they check the schedule with hope that it's going to be somewhere cool like NY or Vegas.

Maybe they'll try to wrap the game up and fly home before midnight.

Same defense?

Well, this is gonna be the game where Huberdeau scores hat trick and make himself look like 10 million dollars, it appears.

I don't buy it imo, this canucks medical staff, management, and ownership have a history of making the wrong calls for medical decisions.

----Is this a Hot Take? ----

And like i said, they were stupid for letting him play, I don't care how amazing he was that game.

Extremely short sighted decision, even with rick denying it had an impact.

We had a break as well coming up, Quinn could have chilled for over a week, not a fan of this what so ever.

Canucks need to make a move honestly, a Month without Quinn Hughes can kill us.
Don't take a 1st, but move what else we have.

Keep Lekk/Willander and EP2, move next years picks and other prospects for a upgrade.

Last season was wide open for the taking. I am convinced we had a wide open path to the finals that was undone by injuries to Boeser and Demko.

This season? Vegas has been healthy. Dallas is playing games on easy mode. Minnesota looks good. Colorado has improved. The top half of the conference is in a different tier.

May as well shut some guys down by Feb if we are out of the playoff race. I personally hope we do a stealthy spontaneous tank.

You need to make multiple moves here to improve the D. We need a top pairing guy to replace Hughes and another mid pairing guy if you want to make the playoffs. You will likely have to part with EP2 or Lekk.

To me this is the opposite, last year when everything was going great you add to the team aggressively like Rutherford did.

A season like this you only shop long term for another Hronek type deal, and those are super rare trades and difficult to find a partner for.

Typical Canucks 'injury news'. Pettersson and Hughes have gone from 'day-to-day' to now 'week to week'. What's next? You can only shudder to think.
