That's what a random reddit thread says, but it's a bit odd for those things to be linked – the ends were chopped off to shrink the crease to avoid too many goals being waved off. Really the crease shape doesn't matter if it's no longer going to affect icing anyway.
Eh the crease wasnt really shrunk though. It got taller but narrower. Werent icingswaived off if the puck went through the future chopped off parts?

wait why am i gettin slack? 🤣🤣
Lol, no not you. The other geeber. Strays flying everywhere

Good game up and down the lineup, came out with energy and looked a lot more like last years team. Really hope we see that more often, as this inconsistency can drive you crazy.

Demko was big in net, looked very solid and back to his normal self. The way he handles rebounds always impresses me.

Petey/Miller were unlucky to not get on the scoreboard. Miller set the tone early, and Petey actually shot the puck today in addition to setting up a few good chances. With our defense the way it is, they need to play like this more often.

Hughes was just ok today. Defense played hard and well relative to expectations, but has the same limitations that we’ve all discussed. Led to being hemmed in their own end more than they should’ve, but that’s the reality of this team. Excellent job though at limiting chances despite those qualms.

Sherwood was massive - still think it’s absolutely ridiculous no one offered him more money. He and Heinen have really good chemistry - I wouldn’t be surprised to see that line stick together for a while. Those two played well with Blueger earlier in the season as well.

no idea if this is actually true or just a hallucination - but this seems accurate?

Agreed and have also liked the Sherwood - Heinen line(s). Proving to both be very good depth additions in my opinion.

Nice bounce back and wow KEIFER SHERWOOD. Played it simple and played it hard. No lack of intensity or lack of involvement in this game. Just when you think this team is heading into the tank, they play like this.

Good

Sherwood - nothing needs to be said. If anyone led the charge it was this player. Often is.

Miller - this looked like the old Miller. Might question some of his passes but speed and determination on display. Garland should have done better with some of the chances Miller was creating.

Pettersson - you'd wish he'd put away chances like he use to. But good thru neutral zone and moved puck much better. Also ijmproved in keeping the play in front of him and maintaining good defeneive positioning in his end. Played a solid if unspectacular game. Lot more focus.

Soucy - for the most part. Best of the d-men IMO. Logged a ton of ice.

Demko - best thing about this game was the way Demko showed himself back in form. He needed this after the debacle with Boston. If he can sustain this, Canucks got the goalie position covered off well.

Others

Hughes - looked like he was fighting the puck some in this game. Not his best game. Too bad when he in a match up game against Makar (although Makar didn't accomplish much other than play almost half the game)

Desharnais - overall a really decent game. If can just give what he did in this game, it would be a huge lift for the defense. Juulsen continues to provide at least acceptable defensive work. Seemed better in the neutral zone than in the past.

Sassons - not hurting the team and continues to show NHL speed.

Suter - did some good work (along with a others) holding down MacKinnon.

Blueger - PK was a key factor in this game (and the calls against Vancouver were poor) and Blueger led in this.

Think you got to give some credit to Tocchet for not blowing up after the last game and getting the team ready to play this one.

Excellent game. Not sure how you sandwich that Boston performance between this and the Panthers games but whatever. Team continues to confuse me to no end. Experience Canucks hockey.

Also, I thought Sasson didn’t look out of place next to Pettersson & DeBrusk.

I think the thing that sticks out with him, and we saw it on his first career point in Pitt, is that he's a fast skater but he doesn't really look scrambly when he has the puck; he has the poise to "hold onto pucks" and make a play.
