Canucks started looking bad right around the time that Pettersson fell off a cliff (just in time for us to lose to Toronto on HNIC).

Miller playing like an elite #1C covered for it, but at the end of the day we need our offense to carry us given the sorry state of our defense.

He hasn't looked great since last season IMO.

Just did the same. Friend asked if I wanted to do dailies in FFXIV. That's more fun than watching this disaster of a game.

I've had a lot of praise for Tocchet but someone needs to smack some damn sense into him. Juulsen is a complete liability and Myers is barely much better, and only with a babysitter. STOP f***ING PLAYING THEM SO MUCH

It's downright baffling anyone ever thought Zadorov and Myers as a pairing would be anything except a train wreck.

I think he was playing well offensively to start the season. I didn't really notice him playing poorly until around 10-14 games into the season.

We are holding at .500 for the last 10 games, so the season isn't exactly tanking. We've given ourselves a big enough cushion to have a stretch like this, and ramp it up again and still be in the running for top 2 or 3 in the division.

He’s a non-threat even on the PP. He just passes it to Quinn repeatedly. No point even covering him since he doesn’t shoot.

That doesn't matter some teams will have hot or cold streaks. Remember the last two years when we were in a wild card at times? Or a point out here or there? It's about long term play. Being 6th 26 games into the year isn't meaningful. Nor was being first. Again, they'd have to be only a couple games over .500 to make it from here. If your doomer self thinks that's not going to happen then sure they can miss it, but playing as they have in this bad stretch is enough to make the playoffs if they never string any wins together the rest of the way.

It's certainly not time to panic yet, though. I'd like to see Soucy back in the lineup and assess the team's play when they have a vet pair that can handle heavy minutes in Soucy - Cole and take some of the load off of Hughes-Hronek. It's a clear problem, having these #7/#8/AHL tier d-men playing in top 4 positions.
