Pretty solid period. Great speed by Lapierre on the goal, he seems to be pretty much fully back, would love to see him get a goal to get that monkey off his back.

Chucky has such poor positioning sometimes. He gives up a lot of goals where if he was square to the shooter he would have stood a chance. No way should he have been so far off his angle there was that much room to his right.

Deflections tend to do that to goalies, turns out there’s a reason to try to get them

Deflections happen and they're a great way to score but he also wasn't square to the initial shooter. He was cheating way over to his left which is why he didn't even have a chance at making the save. Had he been squared up to the shooter the deflection probably goes into his pads not into the foot wide gap between his pads and the post.

My thoughts exactly, but I also add he was trying to catch that puck with his glove instead of staying square to the shot and trapping it in his chest/glove. The modern butterfly technique is designed for deflections like that if your angle/square to the shot is correct.
