Nah, if the oilers don’t win then they aren’t a threatEdmonton letting Vegas send it to OT, so they both get points, worst case scenario for us lol.

I honestly don't think he's been "cold" the rest of the season. You should be concerned if the upcoming highest paid player on your team goes cold
For a quarter of the season.
I know your whole shtick is being incredibly negative but this just stupid. It's statistically impossible for Edmonton to pass us that fast even if we lost every single game.
They're 14 points back with only two games in hand; 12 if we lose and they win against Vegas.
We'd need to drop our next six games, going on a seven game collapse while Edmonton suddenly strings together an eight game winning streak.
In other words, this take is laughably absurd.
Shots are 27-12....
He hasn't played to his ability pretty much the entire season. He's been able to put up points, sure, but there's clearly something off about his game.I honestly don't think he's been "cold" the rest of the season.
I thought he looked pretty good the first half of this season. Maybe not up to his standard last year, but not as bad as these last few stretches imo.
Even star players have bad stretches, it's not something exclusive to Petey.
When’s his last 5 on 5 goal?I honestly don't think he's been "cold" the rest of the season.

They are getting anyone into the dirty areas and making it easy to hold them outside look like a timbits teamor try redirection plays at the side of the net on wide shots
He has to shoot to score a goal.Pettersson really needs a goal. It will take a lot of weight off of his shoulders, and relieve some of the mental pressure.

I'm surprised there are people who think Pettersson is just slumping rather than being injured.
It's possible that both are factors, but in my eyes there's no way he's fully healthy because he looks pretty bad out there.
So my frustration with the situation is why he isn't being removed from the lineup to recover.
If they had let him rest 3 weeks ago when it was clear that he was off his game, he'd be back in the lineup right now, lighting it up, very similar to what we're seeing from Jack Hughes ever since he returned from injury.
And Pettersson himself should probably ask for some time off to recover because he's tanking his own contract with this play.
