DeBrusk on a heater.

Said it before, but EP stepping up with his bestie JT out.

Hughes is from another planet.

Lankinen allows you to win any game he starts.

At this rate, Nucks should never play another game at home.
They need to add their own dynamic pricing and bring the prices down, and I think the atmosphere and the games will be much better.

Anyways, that’s it for me in here until a bit, I’m heading out with the wife, take care of everybody, have a great afternoon and evening

I know that look.

Hoggy is gettin' lucky tonight!!!

(Or maybe I am really bad at reading facial cues...)

You do know that when those guys look at you like that and then drag you into the alley, that isn't what they mean when they say you're "getting lucky," right?

Worried about Joshua

In 9 games played now he’s only had 2 shots and both in the same game
Was just checking the advanced stats, he had two individual scoring chances and one high danger scoring chance. He needs to get up to speed, but I don't think he has played that badly.

5on5 he was on for 16 shot attempts and only 4 against. That's the lowest CA on the entire team.

Once he regains a bit of form, he'll be a force like last season.

But yeah, you can put this solely on Silovs….

Tampa and Vancouver are both in this spot because their backups have been horrific in limited games played (both are roughly -9 GSAE). Both team's starters have been very good this year.

Luckily Vancouver has an incoming solution, Tampa should be on the market for someone unless they really think a rebound is incoming.

Honestly. If a team is willing to trade a late 1st + prospect for Lankinen once Demko is healthy, I think you have to take that deal. That would be found money, and the guy isn't resigning after this year as he's due for a massive raise.

But you're gambling that Demko will be back to form and stay that way, because Silovs is not the answer.

I get the idea, but I wouldn't do it. Demko is made of glass, and Lankinen is solid. I would try to re-up him if possible, as a 1b. I agree that Silovs offers zero stability, to the point where I would consider him currently unplayable. He can't be Demko's back-up.

I'd say the complete opposite. If the Canucks are competitive and playoff bound, there's no way you don't have a legitimate backup for a run. Silovs is not at that state right now. You keep Lankinen 100%.

I don't see him signing without being guaranteed starting minutes. He's been a backup his entire career, it's his time to be the go-to-guy.

Hope I'm wrong, because Demko/Lankinen 1A and 1B is the best tandem in the entire NHL.

IMO it would be foolish to gamble the entire season on Demko's health. We signed Lankinen for the exact scenario we are seeing play out.

I guess we could trade the 1st for a good backup goalie. :sarcasm:

Worst take of the week.

Canucks aren't trading him.
Nobody is trading a 1st and a prospect for him.

I'm hopeful that he'll sign a Stolarz type deal with the team in January. 2 x $2.5m or I'd even go 3 x $3m.
