While our defense definitely needs some help and we aren't playing amazing, it can't be understated how good of a position we've kept ourself in without
Our 100 points scoring center
Our 40 goal scorer
Our vezina nominated goaltender
And while brief our 50 point two way defender was not here today
We have bought ourself some room in the standings ultimately despite what should be some serious setbacks. There are absolutely things to worry about and look at from a structure and skill perspective, but there are positives with where we sit

I will be honest that I haven't loved him being stapled onto the top line in the past, as he does not seem to be in the same league as Miller and Boeser. However, he has absolutely proven me wrong. He is not just contributing but leading the team in goals. I'm not saying he is close to this level as a whole yet, but he is bringing an Alex Burrows - type value to the team.

Schedule is going to get tougher, but we also should (hopefully) be getting healthier as well.
I really think this year is all about prep work. Get into the playoffs as healthy and with as many good habits and depth pieces as possible.
Living on the island, I feel for you mainlanders…we have beauty in all directions within a ten minute walk or drive.

i thought that was a really good early morning start road game. a pretty even and hard fought game with both teams able to score on the push despite good goaltending.
i see signs of the team getting it's ozone possession game from last year going albeit with less board work. the defence though is a mess.
