Honestly, they aren't for real.

They are a wildcard team.

They have no depth on D and have a bunch of overpriced wingers.

Yeah, but we got Quinn 'Bobby Orr' Hughes. If you have elite players, you can paper over differences. On most regular season nights, Demko, Hughes, Petey, BB are enough.

In the playoffs, yeah, we need a 2nd pairing upgrade, STAT.

Sure but I'd rather a month of Pettersson out and then healthy the rest of season than play out the season like this and risk a chronic issue.

His skating still isn't right. Typically he would stand out almost every shift because of his speed but it's just not there.
