Waiting for the 20 or 25 game mark to post my thoughts on this team but what isn't going to change for me in that timeframe is my thought that we should trade Hoglander.

I don't think his contract is bad in general but it's bad for this team. And they should also trade him sooner rather than later given his low ice time.
No it's a genuinely bad contract. He's a 4th line undersized winger making 3M/year for 3 more years (after this season). He also had a bad playoff performance last season.

They really need to look at that rule. Injury is such a broad term that ranges from a cut to being stretchered off. Major penalty sure. But Quinn getting a match penalty on a play that happens 20 times a game and Norris coming back 2 minutes later is a joke.

Plus if this was McDavid or a Leaf that did this instead of Hughes, than the league would look at it immediately

Crazy Canuck PP options out there, no Hughes, no Brock Boeser, no Miller, no Forbort...

Looked better actually, shooting more, Pettersson was pretty much secondary there too. Odd...

He's a 4th liner on this team and that's why it's bad for us, but there's probably another team out there willing to play the shit out of him.

My argument when they gave him that contract is that I just don't think a team that likes Hoglander is more unlikely to trade for him because of the contract. If you're trading for him, you're making the bet that he is going to be worth that deal. If you traded for him before he signed that deal, he was going to do well in arbitration.

Really hard to feed Petey - our best player- with this setup and a righty in Hronek. It's time to unlock the Brannchise.
Rather see Joshua at the net front instead of Sherwood. Have always wanted to see them try that on PP1

B.C.
Slit Norris’ throat then watched him bleed out.
Commentators just said he wasn’t in the game when I turned it on, thought the worst: that he’d been injured. Glad to hear he merely murdered Norris (I watched the replay on Twitter, what a joke).
