It's a 30 million dollar commitment for a guy who's never been good in a top four role. He didn't play one here at any point. Myers/Soucy got the high leverage defensive minutes, and Hughes Hronek were playing 25+ every night.

They didn't have the money to do Cole and Zadorov - those guys are making 8.1. Forbort and Desharnais make 3.5. The Utah / Boston fans are also not happy with those guys either.

They can't score consistently, the defence looks like complete shit, they take stupid penalties and now the injuries are starting to take their toll. Tocchet seems like he can't figure out what a time-out is or how to use it...case and point, tonight! Call the f***ing thing at 3-2 when you just saw the momentum completely shifted.

I keep getting this bad feeling that last year was the only good chance this core is going to get, due to years of awful management and an inability to consistently find quality players in later rounds through the draft.

We traded a 1st , 2nd, and 2 good prospects for 9 games of Lindholm. Hopefully they learned.

I have faith that Allvin has the sense to deduce when it's a good time to go all in and when it isn't, despite the fact they're in the middle of a window here. At some point it's not worth trading valuable assets. Last year I could definitely understand taking their shot.

if the cap goes up as much as is rumoured they'll be okay. their key players are all locked up (minus boeser) for at least two more seasons and they should be able to extend boeser and add a significant piece

2nd game of a back to back. Not thrilled but this doesn't worry me much. Glad Petey is back. Miller is definitely not feeling it and not having Boeser hurts Miller more than a lot of people realise.

Hope we play well in the third and salvage it but the Preds have a ton of good players who weren't going to stay bad forever.
