All jokes aside, the total f***ing no-shows at home this season don't bode well at all, and it's very, very likely we're a bubble playoff team this year unless things change in a significant way. It sucks, but well there it is.

We’ve also had a pretty easy schedule.

Until we get a real 2nd pairing this team’s ceiling is definitely capped

Again, we can play meh and still get points. It's just that these games pull back the curtain on some of the underlying issues. I don't think we'll be a bubble team, we're within striking distance of winning the Pacific.

Forwards need to know when to pick their spots and they have to make an extra effort to stay high and help out our D who are really struggling.

All I ask is that they don't trade any draft picks. This year isn't it.

The problem is that if we really want to try and win with this core, it will be with Miller being a significant piece for us, and he's hitting that age where his ability to be a difference maker may start to diminish a bit, so do we sacrifice picks now to bolster this Miller window, or save them and try to bolster a second window in a few years?

Got a few quick looks at the game while working.

My patient who was watching the game told me: Islanders were playing hockey, the Canucks were basically playing Jenga.

6 SOG after two periods? Yikes...
