Elias Pettersson 49 games before Kuzmenko-Lindholm trade. 1.31 ppg
Elias Pettersson 43 games since the Kuzmenko-Lindholm trade. .67 ppg. Not including playoffs.

Raty for his future, needs to be in 1 spot. He shouldn't be yo yoing up and down this season. Either all in for Van or Abby (barring injury). Aman, I get at his age.

raty has nearly two full seasons worth of games in the ahl. raty isn't going to learn much more at that level. it all comes down to whether his skating is good enough to cut it at the nhl level. may as well play him and find out

Personally, not a fan of someone who turns 22 next week to be up and down between A and NHL that much in a season. Especially for non injury call ups.

Im sure Raty would enjoy the bump in pay. Some players put in more effort when paid more

it's not like he was called up to sit in the press box. as long as he's in the lineup i don't see the problem with him getting called up and sent back down

Raty:
-perfect for him to go down for a couple of weeks
-has done a nice job offensively
-now that he was on the team to start the year, went down, and is now back up, the game will be slowed down a little for him
-Tocchet and Allvin both like the idea of giving a player a taste of the NHL and then sending them down
-hard on the puck; nasty to play against
-want him to have the identity of someone who's hard to play against

Rush Defence:
-something they have to clean up
-flirting with disaster

Recalls:
-is a fan of having young guys go up and down between the minors and NHL
-if you're trying to find consistency in some young guys, thinks it's okay to sending them back and forth
-after getting recalled and sent down, the player knows what they have to do to stay in the NHL

Centres:
-most successful teams are strong down the middle
-if Raty can lock down a spot, that's a big plus for the team
-can play Suter anywhere; can sometimes put him at centre during a game
-signed Suter because he's a hybrid; can play centre and wing

Forbort:
-being evaluated today
-was evaluated yesterday and is getting evaluated again today

Joshua:
-scheduled day off because he's been practicing really hard
-doesn't want to commit but possibility he plays on Thursday
-plan is to practice with the team tomorrow
-still has to talk to him
-doesn't like talking to a player the day before a game so will talk to him tonight

Goaltenders:
-Lankinen will start
-schedule has made it easier to lean on Lankinen
-still believes in Silovs and is not giving up on him
-Silovs can't sit aside too long
-how can you not play Lankinen?

I’ve suggested this in the Abby thread but imo we should not be keeping our best prospects in Abby for too long. team has such a poor track record of integrating guys to the nhl club with only Hoglander to show for atm.

I think it would be a mistake for instance to have 3-4 rookies start their careers at the same time in October 2025 with who knows what team we have. there should be a gradual integration process where guys like Raty, Lekkerimaki, Willander, and D Petey (in that order) start playing regular games with the Canucks by seasons end + playoffs.

I think Raty should permanently be up with the Canucks. Re-evaluate Lekkerimaki by the all star break or sooner and see if his play warrants a call up opportunity, prepare for Willander to make the jump around March-April, and maybe give D-Petey a couple of games in March-April as well so he has a taste of the NHL.

With regards to Abby, this is a new regime. So, on them to have the right coaches down there to develop players.

By yo yoing, I don't want to see Raty getting sent down like 3-4 times during a season. If this stint down was something to get him back on track, fine, but I'd like to see him up the rest of the way or if he does need to go down, then leave him there.

Canucks don't have a lot of legit NHL prospects. So, they need to make sure that they do right by the ones that they are really high on. Can't afford for these guys to miss.

Seen more prospects rushed than left to develop in the minors and the results have been pretty bad. So we should keep doing that?

Tocchet hockey is all about grinding out 3-2 wins vs trash teams, so I fully expect this game to be close.

The only time Tocchet hockey was remotely entertaining was when the team was shooting at an impossible high %.

How is Raty being rushed? He's made some pretty big leaps in his play and deserves these promotions. This is a deep forward group that can insulate and put Raty in positions to succeed at the NHL level. A rushed prospect is someone like Will Smith in San Jose that needs to develop and grow in the AHL.

You have Raty who has a lot of games in the AHL and had a strong spring training . Then he gets sent down and is showing to be a stand out playing a pro game. Calling him up isn't rushing him.

It's all good but did you practice your power play?

Other than two strong games, he's been not so spectacular in Abbotsford. He was up for 4 games earlier this season and didn't "grab hold of it". Better hope he does sooner or later.

I am laughing at how all summer long we heard "finally Petey gets a winger in Debrusk" and now 10 games in he's with Suter and Hoglander while Debrusk is on the top line with Miller and Boeser.

I do think Tocchet moved DeBrusk too quickly because of our slow start. That being said, neither have been playing well. So I get the logic.
