Random site note: last night I was driving home after 16 hours shift, crossing Royal Oak and Oakland east bound. For those who don't know at this intersection Oakland merges from 2 lanes into 1 at this point. I was in the center lane so I needed no change, and to my right was a car that slowed down and turned right. So I drove along Oakland and then another car from the original right lane tried to pass me and merge in I guess? It didn't look like he was close so I drove normally. And once the lanes merged into one and this guy was forced to follow me, he started blasting high beams on and off. I thought it was pretty funny, because it had ZERO effect on my driving, as my mirrors were in an angle where none of those lights could shine to my face. After doing this for a while, this guy shifted to the left, blasted pass me while riding the opposite direction lane, and sped off triumphantly with his massive gigachad victory.

I did nothing after that because I was laughing my ass off.

Always amuse me that people throw such tantrums on the road.

P.S.: Since the car itself didn't look like a particular luxurious one I'm gonna assume it was not Aquaman so don't bother asking.

that was me and i feel really good about it today thx

Bains at center is stupid. I do think Suter is better as a winger, but I don’t think Raty should be playing 4th line center minutes either. Canucks need to trade their wing depth for help on defense and a 4th line center with pk utility.

Sprong:
-some good stuff and some he's got to clean up
-needs to find a consistent game
-needs to hold on to pucks when he can

Practice:
-next couple of weeks is more business
-good battle drills

Suter:
-has really good hockey IQ
-early in the season but in the last week or so he deserves more ice-time
-going to keep him on the wing with Pettersson and Garland

Garland:
-his will to get to the right spots
-deserves the increase in ice-time
-can trust him
-drives line

4th Line Centre:
-doesn't view Bains as a 4th line centre option
-will talk to Allvin about options there
-doesn't think it's fair to put Bains at centre and is better as a winger
-specifically doesn't call Bains a prospect, calls him "a good young player for this team"
-knows Raty has been playing well in the AHL

Forbort:
-doesn't know what happened

Battle drills?how about powerplay drills.

Canucks Army reporting that the Canucks are close to recalling Raty, since both the parent and AHL Canucks are in Southern California at the moment.

If he gets back up to the big club, I think Raty will get a more comprehensive audition that he got coming out of training camp. From all reports he's been a dominant player since his return to the AHL.

Steady improvement is exactly what you were hoping for from Raty, who was a key kid coming back in the Horvat deal.

Raty will come up and play. 30min drive from Ontario to Anaheim

Keep the kid on his toes. Clearly Tocchet likes him more than Aman

Apparently Raty and Lekkerimaki have quickly formed a 'dynamic duo' in Abbotsford. Selfishly,. I'd like to see the Canucks call both of them up and stick them on a line with Joshua.

Would be fun to see that experiment for a game or two.....but would probably necessitate Bains being sent back down.

I think they have a way's to go to round out their games before an NHL cup of tea.

The Ducks rebuild looks like how some kid playing EA NHL would do it. Way too many kids in at once, and not enough veterans insulating them. They have the talent base to turn things around, but the way they’re developing them in the NHL looks super sus.

You never want to go full Benning and sign 4th liners for 3 million plus, but you do want some decent players around in the top 6 so the kids learn good habits and are put in positions to succeed.

Anyways, if Lankinen starts they’re winning this one 4-2. If Silovs is in net, could turn into a barn burner.

Let Lekkerimaki cook in the AHL for a bit. Being a point a game over 6 games is great, but let him keep building some confidence.

I could see Raty getting called up - but would make sense to send Bains down if that occurs.

Agreed. Let's not rush him like we did Hoglander and Pod. Especially when I don't see any obvious scratches right now outside of Bains. And even he's playing well enough it'll likely be a rotation between him and Sprong.
