I'm not a religious man, but let us pray for Myers to return.

*Sideshow Bob shudder noises
Canucks Army is reporting that Myers will accompany the team on this road-trip, and is considered 'day to day'. Needless to say, a big relief.

The blueline has looked seriously vulnerable in the early going, and Hughes can't keep playing 30-minutes a night.

And a swap for Blueger and Raty.

Hoglander going up into the top six makes total sense. He’s looked good. I probably would have put him with Petey and DeBrusk, but maybe Heinen and his forechecking will be a help for them.

My guess is that Heinen is holding that spot for Garland.

Canucks Army or Jeff Paterson via Rick Tocchet as shown a few posts ago?

Regardless, it’s hopefully very good and the three day break gives them enough time to get a clearer timeline. That he’s traveling seems to indicate there’s no structural damage.

Maybe the overhead bins on the team plane are very high up

The best thing you can do in October is keep the lines similar to the previous season as there is established line chemistry and you already know it works, then integrate the new players in slowly, move them up in the line up as the season progresses, Tocchet already knows he has great lines in..

Suter-Miller-Boeser

DeBrusk-Pettersson-Hoglander

Slot in - Blueger - Garland

DeBrusk replaces Mikheyev which is a big upgrade and someone slots in for Joshua until he returns. This is how they should play in October and then slowly switch things up as new players learn the systems and show their strengths and weaknesses.

Probably good that they're getting this Florida 'two-step' out of the way early in the season. Later on, it just seems that winning games on the road against the Bolts and Panthers is nigh-on impossible.

Will be a whole narrative that sometimes a road trip gets you away from the noise and allows you to just focus on hockey.

Can count on hearing this trope several times a season.

Have a bad homestand? "It'll be nice to get on the road, have some team dinners and build some team chemistry."

Have a bad roadtrip? "It'll be nice to sleep in our own beds, get some rest, and play in front of our fans."

Anything to break the monotony of losing/rough play and refocus on what it takes to win. Last year we were ultra hyped first day of camp and ready to go. Not quite the same this year. Look at Utah, those guys were ready.

It's just human nature, especially in sports, to take the foot off the pedal when things are going well. I think we're a little guilty of coming into camp a bit cocky and some of the boys a little to secure with their situation.

I really want to see Miller elevate his game and get his two way game going. Also, our PP is absolutely pathetic, it's killing us. That last game should have been in the bag. 3 power plays in the third with zero shots. Disgustingly bad.

Looks like the game is on.

TAMPA, Fla. — After Hurricane Milton brought flooding and destruction to Florida, the Tampa Bay Lightning are stepping up to bring affordable entertainment and relief to the region.

For the team's first three home games, they're partnering with Ticketmaster to offer discounted tickets as well as donate hundreds of tickets to first responders and recovery workers as a part of its #TampaBayStrong initiative.

Lower and club-level tickets will start at $75 while upper-level tickets will be down to $25.

Here are the games that will have discounted tickets:
  • Oct. 15 vs. Vancouver
  • Oct. 17 vs. Vegas
  • Oct. 24 vs. Minnesota
The team said they were offering the discounted tickets to "restore a sense of normalcy across the community."
"Following Hurricane Helene, Owner and Chairman Jeff Vinik, along with the Lightning Foundation, pledged $2 million to relief efforts with the entire Bolts roster visiting first responders across the Bay Area," the Lightning said in a news release.
The team's captain, Victor Hedman, also donated $150,000 to the Tampa Police Department and Coast Guard Foundation.
The Lightning said those looking to support hurricane relief efforts can donate through the Lightning Foundation.
