Flahr's appearance does nothing to inspire confidence. The Nature Boy he is not.
We got plugs on the team....and Flahr has them on his head..Flahr's appearance does nothing to inspire confidence. The Nature Boy he is not.

Another Russ Farwell?
LMAO...yeah I didn't think it was Kinkos poster size....Where did you get a lifesize photo of him? It took me five minutes to view the whole picture lol.
Haha! Sleestak! They were so slow moving...
Oh no he was their draft guy.

Here's what I predict: the Blues and Kings decide to rebuild simultaneously. Fletcher deals the entire farm system -- except for Hart -- and every draft pick over the next 14 years for Pietrangelo and Doughty. To add to the momentum, they call up Carter Hart, who -- given the D talent in front of him -- wears broomball shoes instead of skates for the final 20 games of the season, and still finishes with a 0.23 GAA.
Provorov - Doughty
Gostisbehere - Pietrangelo
Sanheim - Gudas

Before people jump off a bridge, he probably was primarily relying on information from scouts. So how much of it is on Flahr and how much of it is on poor amateur scouting, who knows. At least that’s what I’m l gonna tell myself...
Or maybe he was brought in specifically to be terrible at the draft, thus making it sting a little less when Fletcher trades all his picks for Craig Anderson or something.
Fletcher specifically mentioned Voracek as being the type of player that can play his identity of hockey and a type they need to continue to find.
UH OH!
From the sounds of all the Hextall bashing, the Flyers wanted someone who is going to listen to the input of the other employees. Just got to hope he sides with the good scouts as opposed to the “he whacks them with his stick” bad scouts. It’s not like Hextall didn’t have some misses and much of his draft success is still speculative since most of them haven’t sniffed the NHL yet.Hopefully they trust the flyers scouts more than their own eye.

We're not getting Hughes, I doubt even if the goalies continue to suck that we end up in the top 5 in the draft.
And if Stolarz/Elliott turn it around, we may still make the playoffs.
The one saving grace with Fletcher is he's probably far more polished at talking to someone like Scott, having dealt with an owner in Minnesota for 9 years, and knows when he has to make some cosmetic moves to look like he's trying. But hopefully he's smart enough to know that no move will make a difference if the goalies don't step up, and there's no savior goalie out there.
However, what could drive big trades (more likely in late January) is his vision that a modern NHL team needs to be fast and aggressive on the forecheck. So he might try to start reshaping the roster for next year, especially if he's in sell or shakeup mode, than in buy mode.
