News/Notes
  • The LA Kings lost their first regulation game this season after losing to the Toronto Maple Leafs night by a close score of 3-2.
  • Goals came from Adrian Kempe and a short handed goal from Trevor Lewis
  • While Anze Kopitar and Dustin Brown have been stealing the headlines (and deservedly so), Trevor Lewis is quietly starting to put up some points. He has 5 points in his last 3 games.
  • It looks like Mike Condon and Darcy Kuemper will be facing off in goal tonight although we don't have confirmation from the Kings on who will be starting tonight. Kuemper won his first outing against the New York Islanders 3-2 and made 23 saves in his first start
  • Our Lord and Savior....Excuse me....Erik Karlsson has 6 points in only 3 games this season after missing the start of the season recovering from an injury from the Senators deep playoff run last summer
  • The Senators have hit the injury bug recently after losing Bobby Ryan for at least a month with a broken finger. He joins other injured players like Colin White, Clarke MacArthur and Ben Harpur.

Bestest defenseman EVER!!!

I'll also try to include more stats in the upcoming GDTs. I was planning on introducing it this GDT but I was stretched for time and literally leaving for class as I finish this up. GO KINGS GO!!!

Tonight will say a lot about this team, they expended a lot of energy last night. We will see how pissed losing makes them and if they can muster up an extra gear.

certainly hope so or else i might blow a gasket.. supposed to be 107 down here today so i'm already gonna be broiling when this game starts

I hope I feel sorry for the Sens after the game tonight.
I hope the Kings are mad at last night and destroy the Sens tonight.

Always a fun match up.

The Kings have played in Ottawa only 5 times since Doughty and Karlsson have been around. Doughty has 0G and 3A in 5GP. Karlsson has 2G, and 3A in 4GP. The Kings are 2-3, losing the last 2 trips. In those last 2 games, Karlsson has 1G and 3A, while Doughty has 0G, and 0A.

Assuming these guys are important to their teams, whoever has gotten the upper hand wins.

I'll be happy if we get a point in this game. 3 points in 3 games on this tough CBJ/TOR/OTT stretch without Carter would be a success IMO.

Lewis has 6 points in 8 games so far, loved his hustle yesterday. Looking forward the see what the 3rd line will bring in upcoming games.

.500 in points is always a successful road trip. If we can sneak in a win here and take 2 of 3 against tough opponents from the East, I can feel extra good about the trip.

I remember one of those games where literally all 3 goals against were McNabb's fault and everyone pointed at Doughty. Like Braden LITERALLY fell down and handed the puck to the Sens. Ugh.

Sens like to push the pace when they have the puck, will be interesting to see how this year's team does vs. a more defensive system

Thank god we don't have him anymore. Last I heard Vegas had scratched him for two games.
