Whole team is bad.

The more losses the better at this point. It's tough love, but the long term viability of the franchise depends on it. Management needs to wake up and smell the coffee. That's only going to happen if they have a catastrophically bad season.

Has to be enough to wake up management.

Yeah, it's not the worst loss, but the problem is it's added to all the other ones.

depends how you see it; if you're smart and want to think long term, you gotta go through some tough times... that time is now

if you want your coach to change, you gotta lose
if you want your roster to change, you gotta lose
if you want to fill up your cupboard with solid prospects, you gotta lose
this is the best time to lose!

would you look at that!

when you put kovalchuk on the dot and force a pass to him, he makes a dangerous shot!

The issue is the hard cap. I don't know what kind of magic people expect. Nobody is giving up the next franchise player to build around for Carter, Toffoli, Pearson, Muzzin, or Martinez. Even combined in one deal. As long as they keep their own picks, that's the best way to go long term. If there's a deal they cannot turn down, by all means they should do it, but it can't be expected. If this is Carter from here on out, nobody needs that contract for the next 3 years after this one.

This will be a slow process. Nobody is going to save the Kings.
