People who can't keep a respectful silence during the anthem are incredibly obnoxious. I'm not even heavily patriotic. But that nonsense or the Blackhawks wanting to be the only team to cheer during the anthem really annoys me.

Well, everyone else on the planet noticed Kovy was taken back behind the wood shed, for really no f***ing reason at all. He scored the same amount of points and three more goals than Tofolli while playing 18 less games and significantly less ice time. Just absolutely pathetic treatment of one of our most and only dangerous threat on the ice. Blake loses some points in my book for allowing it. Like I get the no micromanaging side of it between coach and GM but the coach is literally destroying a free agent signing in full view of all other future UFA crazy enough to consider playing for LA...

Fans always say things like that, but the only thing that ever really stops free agents from signing in any given place is money. Not that you want modern day UFA's to go anywhere near your team. They usually get the money and then fans want them gone in a year. Tavares is exceedingly rare, and the Kings don't have any home town boys to bring home.

Lets see, 3rd team in one year:
17 gm-o goals
44 gm-9 goals, scratched 3 x's
19 gm-9 goals in a meaningless season, with more than half coming in the last 6 games.

You know what stat matters the most to Kings fans...? The big fat uninterested in playing ZERO he had as a King.

Hard to say off of one game. But he looked like a skilled middle 6 guy off the bat.

It's perfect that Lizotte was 2nd to last in total ice time, only ahead of, of course, Wagner. Although at ES, Toffoli actually had less time than Lizotte. However both did have more ES time than, of course, Wagner.

I mean WD isn't all that different than most other coaches in that regard. Very few coaches either trust or are willing to throw young players out there willy nilly, so whatever. But even after 50+ games coaching him, and 60+ for him in general, WD still wouldn't put Wagner out there for barely more than 10 minutes. At home, where he controls the lines more.

He was an interesting coach, and the vets on this team earned him, and ruined it for the rest of the group.

Well, sounds like it's finally over. I haven't watched more than bits and pieces of a game since mid-January. Now some of these guys can get on with whatever business it is they are really focused on in their lives. It sure isn't the business of being a professional hockey player.

Vegas is a good team and a good story. And LA sports fans have had a terrible reputation for much, much longer.

The salt is real with you, man. I really can’t fathom how you can hate Vegas more than Anaheim or SJ. There are literal decades of bad blood with those teams.
